Women´s Day – celebrating diversity & equality

Happy International Women´s Day!

Esta semana en Cool Afterschool hemos estado celebrando la diversidad y la igualdad. Hablando de las diferencias entre niños y niñas y de cómo cada uno de nosotros es diferente y único. Y, sin embargo, todos somos iguales, con los mismos derechos de ser feliz.
Para ilustrar nuestro tema, hemos leído una historia famosa sobre ELMER y creamos nuestros propios elefantes únicos. Los niños también hicieron retratos el uno del otro divirtiéndose mucho durante el proceso. Y luego jugamos, tanto niños como niñas cocinando en la cocina 

Luego continuamos el tema con un hermoso libro sobre Frida Kahlo, que encontró su propia forma de expresión e independencia.

This week at Cool Afterschool we have been celebrating diversity and equality. Speaking of the differences between boys and girls and how each one of us is different and unique. And yet, we are all the same, with the same rights to be happy.To illustrate our theme, we have read a famous story about ELMER and created our own unique elephants. The children also made portraits of each other having a lot of fun during the process. And then we played, both boys and girls cooking in the kitchen 🙂

We continued the theme with a beautiful book about Frida Kahlo, who found her own form of expression and independence.
